On November 20, 2024 at J.J. Foley’s , SEBA held their annual meeting and holiday party. This year they recognized 3 businesses and 5 nonprofits that have been operating continuously in the South End for 80 years or more. In addition to the plaques they were given to commemorate the occasion, proclamations were given to each business and nonprofit from Councillors Flynn, Murphy and Fitzgerald as well as Mayor Wu.
Businesses honored: Jacobson Floral, J. J. Foley's, Olympia Flower Shop
Nonprofits honored: Ellis Early Learning, Benjamin Franklin Institute, United South End Settlements (USES), Boston Medical Center, and Animal Rescue League (ARL)
