Organization Description:
Founded in 2022 out of South End Soccer, Soccer Unity Project is sport for social change non-profit organization based out of the South End and Lower Roxbury. Soccer Unity Project reimagines the power of soccer to build community, connect people from diverse backgrounds, and promote equity in youth play. By providing free play to youth of all backgrounds, we look to increase access to sport and strengthen our city.
We envision a vibrant, caring community in Boston in which all youth – regardless of income or prior experience – have access to high quality soccer programming. Serving over 1,300 youth annually, ages 3-19, our primary youth program offerings include:
- PeeWee Soccer
- Recreational Neighborhood League
- South End Soccer Youth Travel Teams
- High School Travel Teams
- Premier Level Travel Teams
- Adaptive Soccer
- Off-Season Skill Building Clinics
- School Vacation Enrichment
Additionally, we run the Boston Unity Cup, a World Cup-style adult soccer tournament celebrating our city's diversity through a shared passion for sport. Hosted in collaboration with local leaders, community organizations, non-profit programs, and the City of Boston Mayor’s Office, the Boston Unity Cup is a testament to the power of partnership and what our city can do when we come together.
