The Kartal
The Kartal is a stylish cocktail bar and lounge in the heart of Boston’s South End. Known for its intimate atmosphere and creative drinks, the neighborhood spot serves cocktails, mocktails, wine and light bites, offering a lively setting for after work drinks, date nights and evenings out.
Opened in 2022, The Kartal thoughtfully pays tribute to the history of its home, the former Boston Eagle, a longtime LGBTQ+ gathering place that occupied the space for more than 40 years. Even the name nods to that legacy, with “Kartal” meaning “eagle” in Turkish, while details throughout the space honor the people and history that came before it. Today, The Kartal brings its own energy to the South End with music, late nights and a welcoming neighborhood spirit.
