Joie en Cuisine
Joie en Cuisine was founded in 2025 by Evelyn Schichner and Lilly Milman with a simple philosophy: there should always be joy in the kitchen, even when it comes to learning complex French recipes. Both in person and online classes prioritize learning technique and understanding the why and how of French cuisine. Bakers of all levels are welcome to learn, eat and enjoy, whether it’s their first time holding a rolling pin or their hundredth.
In person classes offer the unique opportunity to create classic French recipes with a personal twist in a small, boutique cooking school located in the heart of Boston’s South End. Intentionally small classes allow for hands on training and dedicated one on one instruction in an intimate setting. The learning continues beyond the kitchen with online classes, where videos and written instructions guide students through the process of creating French classics at home.
