Josiah Quincy Elementary School (JQES) will celebrate 178 years of educating Boston’s children and honor the strong community support that sustains our students at our Dragons F.I.R.E. Fundraiser. We invite you to join us as a supporter and partner in this important celebration.
In 2022, JQES became the first Boston public elementary school to earn distinction as an International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Program School. This accreditation reflects our unwavering commitment to holistic learning through inquiry, interdisciplinary study, and Mandarin language instruction. As the largest elementary school in the Boston Public Schools system, JQES is proud to lead the way in offering this kind of rich, global education to our students.
However, persistent budget cuts at the federal, state, and municipal levels mean our students need your support now more than ever. This year, we seek to raise $200,000 to maintain the exceptional level of education and enrichment that defines the Pre-K–5th grade experience for more than 725 students.
