Pine Street Inn & iCater
Pine Street Inn is a South End based nonprofit dedicated to ending homelessness by helping individuals move from the streets and shelter into the safety and stability of a home. Founded in 1969, Pine Street has grown to become the largest homeless services provider in New England, supporting more than 2,400 people each day through housing, emergency shelter, street outreach and workforce development programs.
With its longtime home on Harrison Avenue, Pine Street is deeply rooted in the South End while serving individuals throughout Greater Boston. The organization owns or manages 40 supportive housing locations for 1,200 individuals and operates job training programs that help people build skills and move toward meaningful employment and greater independence. Guided by a vision of a home and community for everyone, Pine Street combines immediate support with long term solutions that help people rebuild their lives.
